Can color-flow Doppler mapping be performed in addition to fetal echocardiography?
Answer:
In addition to the basic 2D echocardiogram of the fetal heart, color-flow Doppler mapping may also be performed. Code 93325 is described as “Doppler echocardiography color flow velocity mapping (list separately in addition to codes for echocardiography) and may also be assigned when medically necessary, performed and documented in the patient report/record.”
