General Question for the Week of March 22, 2021

Question:

Did Medicare ever fix the NCCI edit for A9570 with 78802?

Answer:

Yes, Medicare finally deleted that edit in the January 2021 edit updates which can be found at: https://www.cms.gov/Medicare/Coding/NationalCorrectCodInitEd/Version_Update_Changes
Since the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) deleted the edit instead of changing it, you can go back and ask CMS to reprocess claims they may have denied.
