Prepare for the FY 2027 ICD-10-PCS Updates Before October 1

The FY 2027 IPPS Final Rule introduces major changes to ICD-10-PCS, including 81 new procedure codes and updates that directly affect inpatient coding, reimbursement, compliance, and reporting accuracy.

Join ICD10monitor for Day 2 of the 2027 IPPS Masterclass, a focused training session designed to help inpatient coders, CDI professionals, and compliance teams confidently prepare for the upcoming fiscal year.

Nationally recognized coding expert Christine Geiger, MA, RHIA, CCS, CRC, will provide a practical breakdown of the FY 2027 ICD-10-PCS updates and explain how the changes affect coding workflows and reimbursement outcomes. Attendees will gain insight into new procedure codes, revisions to PCS tables and guidelines, structural changes to the classification system, and coding considerations tied to emerging technologies and new technology add-on payments (NTAPs).

Franklin Martin, MD, FACS, CCS, will offer physician and CDI perspectives on how evolving procedural documentation impacts code assignment, medical necessity, and clinical accuracy. Together, the presenters will help attendees better understand how to translate clinical documentation into compliant and accurate ICD-10-PCS coding.

This webcast goes beyond a simple review of code additions. The session is designed to help organizations operationalize the FY 2027 updates by improving documentation specificity, reducing compliance risk, and strengthening reimbursement integrity.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in a live Q&A session with the presenters and receive practical answers to real-world coding and documentation questions.
