Question:

When do we report code 88323 as opposed to code 88325?

Answer:

Code 88323 describes a consultation and report on referred material when the consultant prepares the slides for routine histologic staining. Code 88325 is for a more comprehensive consultative service on referred material involving review of records and specimens.
