Can we use flow cytometry codes to report absolute cell counts (not requiring interpretation)?
Answer:
Do not use this series of codes to bill for absolute cell counts (not requiring interpretation) performed by flow cytometry. Absolute counts are coded from the immunology series, 86355 through 86367.
