Can we report 96413, 96415, or 96417 for protectant drugs or rescue therapies?
Answer:
Do not report this series of codes for the protectant drugs or rescue therapies that are sometimes administered in conjunction with the anti-neoplastic agent. These drugs are used to reduce or eliminate nausea, vomiting, and toxic effects associated with chemotherapy but are not classified as an anti-neoplastic agent.
