Is it appropriate to separately report a specimen radiograph performed after a breast localization procedure?


Yes, it is appropriate to report radiographs of a surgical specimen (76098) performed after a breast localization (19281-19288). However, radiographs of the specimen samples obtained at the time of biopsies are included in the breast biopsy codes (19081-19086).
