Question:

What changes did CMS finalize regarding pulmonary rehabilitation coverage and requirements?

Answer:

CMS finalized several changes to establish consistent terminology, definitions, and requirements and added COVID-19 as a covered condition for pulmonary rehabilitation (PR), including those who experience persistent symptoms (including respiratory dysfunction) for at least four weeks. CMS also removed the direct physician-patient contact requirement for PR services.
