Can you provide an example of a mutually exclusive respiratory procedure?
Answer:
The April 1, 2017 version of the hospital procedure-to-procedure (PTP) code edit file lists the following codes as being “mutually exclusive” of 94010 (spirometry, including graphic record, total and timed vital capacity, expiratory flow rate measurement(s), with or without maximal voluntary ventilation): 02436, 95070, 95071.
