Question:

What CPT® codes are appropriate for US of the right face to evaluate venous malformation?

Answer:

When a soft tissue ultrasound is done with color Doppler to document whether or not there is flow, code only 76536. If both color and spectral Doppler are done, then 93998 could be added.
