Question:
Must 3D images be permanently stored for CTA studies?
Answer:
The May/June 2009 issue of the ACR Coding Source indicates that it is necessary to have a permanent archive of 3D images acquired. In addition to the images permanently archived, if 3D images are produced, whether on the acquisition scanner or an independent workstation, the rendering and interpretation of the images should be clearly documented in the report.
