Question:

When we report more than one sensitivity procedure for a single isolate, can we report this using a modifier?

Answer:

On occasion, it is necessary to perform additional sensitivity studies such as D-Test or beta-lactamase as well as the MIC. The additional testing is typically performed as a confirmation of the MIC results but may also be performed to provide additional information. However, when more than one sensitivity procedure is required for a single isolate, only the most extensive procedure is billable. Do not use a modifier to report multiple sensitivities for a single isolate.
