Did any codes receive new status indicators (SI) in the April 2019 Outpatient Prospective Payment System (OPPS)?

Answer:

In the April OPPS update, CMS announced that it had revised the SI for the following CPT code, which was approved as an ADLT (advanced diagnostic laboratory test) on December 31, 2018. Effective January 1, 2019, the SI for 81538 was changed from Q4 to A.

81538 Oncology (lung), mass spectrometric 8-protein signature, including amyloid A, utilizing serum, prognostic and predictive algorithm reported as good versus poor overall survival
