How many separately timed specimens can we bill for when reporting 81050?
Answer:
81050 has an MUE value of 2 per the January 1, 2021, Medicare Outpatient Hospital Services MUE release. Billing this code with a unit of 2 would be limited to the measurement of two separately timed specimens.
