A “person of interest” in the ongoing investigation into the fatal shooting last Wednesday in midtown Manhattan of UnitedHealthcare’s CEO, Brian Thompson, has been arrested today in Pennsylvania, according to various media sources.
New York City Police Department (NYPD) Commissioner Jessica Tisch reported in a news conference today that the suspect, identified as Luigi Mangione, was arrested on a gun charge while dining at a local McDonald’s in Altoona, Penn.
According to officials, Mangione had several fake IDs and a document that appeared to be critical of the healthcare industry.
