Are both 94640 and 94664 reportable during the same encounter?
According to the NCCI Policy Manual, the demonstration and/or evaluation described by code 94664 is included in 94640 if it uses the same device (e.g., aerosol generator) that is used during the treatment. If performed at a separate patient encounter on the same date of service, the two services may be reported separately.
