When do you report the new code C1761?

Answer:

This code is reported for the service of catheter, transluminal intravascular lithotripsy, coronary according to the description. C1761 is the HCPCS Level II supply code that describes the coronary intravascular lithotripsy device itself. This code is utilized for facility coding purposes. Currently, a facility OPPS transitional pass-through payment (TPT payment) is awarded for the use of coronary IVL which is dependent on the appropriate reporting of this HCPCS supply code. This TPT payment is slated to continue until mid-year 2024.
