Do you have any tips in regards to repositioning and code 33993?
Answer:
Do not report repositioning when performed during the same session as insertion. Repositioning not requiring imaging guidance is not separately reportable. Repositioning during a separate and distinct session but on the same day as insertion requires modifier 59.
