May we report code 0482T (absolute quantification) along with the new cardiac positron emission tomography (PET) codes in 2020?
Answer:
Category III code 0482T was transitioned to a Category I CPT code beginning on January 1, 2020. The new code is 78434. This code is an add-on code and may be reported in addition to codes 78431 and 78492. The full code description is as follows:
