Question:

Is it normal to report for each additional antibody stain when it comes to identifying the suspect neoplasm? If so, what codes would we report?

Answer:

Multiple immunostains are normally performed on each specimen to more specifically identify the suspect neoplasm. Report 88341 and 88344 as appropriate for each additional single antibody stain procedure or each multiplex antibody stain procedure per specimen.
