What are the revenue codes for 86XXX and 87XXX series?
Answer:
The revenue code for the 86XXX series is 0302, and for the 87XXX series. However, many MACs do not require third-digit specificity for laboratory testing, and in most states, revenue code 0300 or even 0309 works well. Your patient financial services staff should check with your MAC to determine its policy in your state.
