Answer:

To ensure compliant billing of cytogenetic studies, review the report format and confirm that each procedure performed and billed is supported in the report. The culture of cells, total cells analyzed or counted, karyotyping, each probe, etc., should be recorded in the interpretive document in addition to the final interpretation.
