Laboratory Question for the Week of November 2, 2020

Question:

If we perform an additional single antibody stain procedure along with 88346, what code would we report?

Answer:

Code 88346 represents an initial single antibody stain procedure and should be reported once per specimen. If additional single antibody stain procedures are performed, report code 88350 for each single antibody. Codes 88346 and 88350 should not be reported for multiplex immunofluorescence stains; instead, refer to unlisted code 88399.
