What are the proper revenue codes for cytogenetic coding?
The proper revenue codes for the cytogenetics area (chromosome analysis codes) are 0310, 0311, or 0319. The biochemical genetic testing codes are all embedded in the molecular pathology section and should use revenue code 0300, 0309, 0310, or 0319.
