Question:

I heard that the ACR and others helped to lessen the anticipated Medicare cuts finalized in the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule, can you tell me more?

Answer:

The bill pushed forward provides an over 50% reprieve from the original 10% cuts down to approximately 4% for 2021. Even more, expect to see continued phased-in adjustments over the year to come. The policy allows the American College of Radiology (ACR) an opportunity, along with its partners, to continue their work in tackling the cuts with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS ) and a new Congress.
