Radiology Question for the Week of February 18, 2019

Question:

If the technologist takes right and left lateral images of nasal bones along with a Waters’ view, is this considered the three views necessary for code 70160?

Answer:

If you have a right lateral, a left lateral and a Waters’ view, you have three views, so it would be appropriate to report 70160—radiologic examination, nasal bones, complete, minimum of three views.
