Question:
For sleep studies, does Medicare provide reimbursement for an unattended service?
Answer:
Medicare has recognized the unattended service for reimbursement under OPPS (see code 95806). Be sure and check with your payer for medical necessity requirements and coverage of the unattended sleep study in the outpatient setting.
