Question:

Does Medicare cover codes 94014 and 94015? We seem to be running into problems when reporting these.

Answer:

Codes 94014 and 94015 are generally considered not covered by Medicare since their clinical efficacy has not been established, even though 94014 and 94015 have been assigned APCs. Many states have coverage policies for patient-initiated spirometric recording. It is recommended that you check with the Medicare payer for coverage policies relevant to your facility.
