Question:

Can we bill for both 95782 and 95873 when reporting a sleep study?

Answer:

When reporting a split study, it is not appropriate to bill both 95782 and 95783. You would bill only 95783 because it is the more extensive procedure.

95783 Polysomnography; younger than 6 years, sleep staging with 4 or more additional parameters of sleep, with initiation of continuous positive airway pressure therapy or bi-level ventilation, attended by a technologist
