Can you tell me more about the J2 modifier?

Answer:

J2 is a unique OPPS status indicator for Observation C-APC. For an observation encounter the primary service is where the encounter originated – the point of decision-making – with the adjunct services provided in support of the primary service being packaged to the primary service payment.
