Cardiology Question for the Week of March 29, 2021

Question:

If the hospital receives outside images (consult) of the CTA and derives the FFR from that CTA, can the hospital bill for the FFR service?

Answer:

Yes, you can bill 0502T and 0503T. Neither of these codes include performing the original CTA. This FFR computation is done on previously obtained CTA.
