When should we report 90460 and 90461?
Report 90460–90461 only when face-to-face counseling of the patient and family is provided during the same encounter as the administration of a vaccine or toxoid. When counseling of the patient or family is not provided (not documented), select a code from the range 90471–90474 to report the vaccine/
toxoid administration.
