Can you provide details about when to report new codes 81523 and 81560?
Answer:
81523 for reporting oncology, mRNA, with next-generation sequencing should not be reported in conjunction with code 81521. Code 81560 requires that whole peripheral blood be used in the analysis. As is common to MAAA testing, both new codes reference the algorithm as a categorical result in the code description to report risk/likelihood/predictive score.
