How should urinalysis procedures not covered by codes 81000–81050 be reported according to the new CPT® parenthetical guidance for 2024?

Answer:

Per new CPT parenthetical guidance for 2024, urinalysis procedures not specified by codes 81000–81050, may either be reported with the unlisted urinalysis code 81099 or with an analyte-specific code in the Chemistry section of the CPT® Manual, as appropriate.
