Regarding drug payment for those drugs acquired through the 340B Program, are there any updates to the ASP for 2022?
Answer:
According to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) in the 2022 Medicare Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment System and Ambulatory Surgical Center Payment System Final Rule, the agency states in their fact sheet that, “In this rule, for CY 2022, we are finalizing our proposal to continue the payment rate of ASP minus 22.5 percent for certain separately payable drugs or biologicals acquired through the 340B Program.”
