When would we report modifiers LT and RT?

Answer:

The National Uniform Billing Committee (NUBC) approved the LT and RT Level II modifiers for hospital outpatient reporting. They are used to describe procedures performed on paired organs. Modifiers LT and RT Defined Consider the following descriptions to gain a clearer understanding of these modifiers to use as needed.LT – Left side (used to identify procedures performed on the left side of the body) RT – Right side (used to identify procedures performed on the right side of the body)
