What is the difference between codes 31640, 31641, and 31643?

Answer:

Code 31640 represents bronchoscopy procedures for the excision of the tumor, while code 31641 represents procedures for tumor destruction or relief of stenosis by methods other than excision. Code 31643 is reported for placement of one or more catheters for intracavitary radioelement application.
