Question:

When do we report codes 0781T and 0782T?

Answer:

Released July 1, 2022, and effective for 2023, these two new Category III codes 0781T and 0782T were added to CPT® for reporting bronchoscopy with insertion of anesophageal protection device and inclusive of fluoroscopic guidance, when needed. These codes have been assigned to status indicator “E1” and thus are not covered by Medicare.
