What are the OPPS rates for new codes 94617 and 94618 for exercise and stress testing?
Answer:
These have been assigned to APC 5734 with a status indicator of Q1 and a payment rate of $105.03. Additionally, existing code 94621 has been revised to reflect cardiopulmonary exercise testing, encompassing integrated measurements and assessment of cardiac and pulmonary function as well as the status of the patient’s physical fitness. For 2018, the payment rate for APC 5722 assigned to revised CPT® 94621 has increased slightly from $232.21 to $248.81.
