Answer:

Do not assign 37236 for stent placement in cervical carotid, extracranial vertebral or intrathoracic carotid, intracranial, or coronary arteries. Do not assign 37236 for stent placement in a lower extremity artery for treatment of occlusive disease (arteriosclerosis); however, 37236 may be used for stent placement in a lower extremity artery for treatment of dissection or as an embolization device.
